Humboldt County Memorial Hospital officially broke ground on a new 3,000 SF mental healthcare clinic with a ceremony on Sept. 2. HCMH was looking to design a facility with the appropriate space and features to provide much-needed mental health services to their community. ATURA architecture worked closely with HCMH to help them bring their vision to life.
The new clinic will be an addition to the existing hospital facility and is estimated to have a total cost of $1.13 million. This building’s design will feature two play therapy rooms, two exam rooms, a counseling room, a sand room, a nurse’s station, four offices, and a reception area. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed by December 2022.
